On 23 Nov 1923, Fay (Faye) married Irvin Virgil Brooks in Killeen, Bell, Texas by Reverend Sims. Both of their children, Dorothy Dawn and Robert Lester were born in Bell county. Irvin's oil drilling experience took them to various areas of Texas and by the late 1970s, they retired in Lockhart TX where her husband passed away in 1981. She died in a hospital in Hays county, Texas surrounded by family and friends.
