JAMES O. HUNLEY, age 69, of Sidney, OH went home to be with his Lord at 10:54 PM on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, OH. James was born in Sidney, OH on May 31, 1951 to Rebecca (Reece) Hunley of Sidney, OH and the late Zack O. Hunley. He married Marilyn (Floss-Jacobs) Hunley in Woodstock, OH on February 14, 1970 and she survives.

James is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Donna and Michael Hauschild, Bradford, OH; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Paul "Vic" and Debbie Hunley, Sidney, OH; and Dennis and Jo Hunley, Sidney, OH; one granddaughter: Maci Hauschild, Bradford, OH; and beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Freda Barhorst and Patricia Marr.

James graduated from Fairlawn High School in 1969. He was a Machinist for Copeland-Emerson Climate Technologies in Sidney, OH and retired in 2017 after 48 years. James also worked for Clean All Services in Sidney, OH for 20 years. He was a member of Crossroad Church of God in Piqua, OH. He shared his faith by living a devout Christlike life. James loved singing and using his musical talent to praise the Lord at his church.

James loved to spend time with his family, his dog Oreo, and he loved them with all of his heart. He enjoyed fishing, playing Horseshoes, and going out to eat. He was a true foodie. James also enjoyed going to the mountains of Tennessee and visiting Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

A celebration of James' life will be held at 2 PM on Friday, April 2, 2021 at Crossroad Church of God, Piqua, with Pastor Jason Hill and Pastor Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery, Sidney, OH.
