Beverly Joan (Zills) Carter, 64 of Elkhart, IN passed away on March 28, 2021 in her home surrounded by family. She was born to the late Wallie and Earline (Scott) Zills on December 1, 1956 in Sheffield, AL.
She married Robert H. Carter on August 23, 1980. She was a LPN for many years at Elkhart General Hospital. She loved spending time with family and grandkids. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events. Her hobbies were cross stitch, sewing and soduko puzzles.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother David Zills; 2 brothers in law Buddy Balentine and Tommy Bee; and her niece Bonnie Zills; her nephews DeWayne Zills, Mark and Ryan Riggle and Todd Duffy.
Beverly is survived by her husband Robert; her daughter Joni Leigh; her son Robert Brandon Carter; her brother Danny Zills; 3 sisters Sandra Balentine, Brenda (James) Cole and her twin Barbara Bee; 6 grandchildren Kayson, Gracie, Jaython, Maeleigh, Gentzen and Jaquon.
Services for Beverly will be on Thursday April 1, 2021 at 12PM at New Creation Fellowship 30190 Co. Rd. 10 Elkhart, IN 46530. Friends may visit from 10AM until time of service. Burial to follow in Chapel Hill Memory Gardens 10776 McKinley Hwy Osceola, IN 46561 with Pastor David Klahr to preside. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Beverly's memory to the Cancer Resources of Elkhart County 23971 US-33, Elkhart, IN 46517.
