Marilyn King, 68, of Burlington passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Monday, March 29, 2021 at 9:09 a.m.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Melvin Fitch King and Mary Lou Newton King, both deceased. She was a graduate of Williams High School and Alamance Community College, and she retired from Lab Corp. Marilyn was a member of Life's Journey United Church of Christ and helped with the Card Ministry.
Survivors include his brother, James "Jim" King and wife Debbie of Elon; nephews, Jimmy King and wife Sandra of Elon and Brian King; great niece, Angel; and great nephew, Trey.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. by Pastor Micah Royal with the family receiving friends from 9:45 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. Other times, the family will receive friends at the residence of her brother, Jim King.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alamance County Humane Society, 2213 Edgewood Avenue, Burlington, NC 27215 or to Life's Journey United Church of Christ, 2121 Edgewood Avenue, Burlington, NC 27215.
