Ella Evon Bridges, 97, of Kountze, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Kountze Nursing Center. She was born December 24, 1920 in San Augustine, TX. She was a bookkeeper for Union Pacific Railroad. She enjoyed crocheting. She attended Second Baptist Church of Kountze. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Thornton; second husband, Robert L. Bridges; daughter, Claudette "Snookie" Webb; grandchildren, Allen Wayne Browning, and Howard Lee Browning; parents, Henderson and Lela Frazier.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Thornton of North Zulch, TX, grandchildren, Thomas Michael Browning and wife Brenda of Crystal River, FL, Casey Webb and wife, Jamie of Shreveport, LA, Michael Webb and wife, Stephanie of Pineville, LA, and Thressa Vaughn of Gonzalez, LA; numerous nieces and nephews, including Dorothy Frazier of Silsbee, 12 great-grandchildren, 23 great-great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Farmer Funeral Home on Friday March 30, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m., officiated by Reverend Kenneth McInnis. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. at Fellowship Cemetery in Warren, TX.
