Gary Clifford Becker, 72, of Fleetwood, passed away March 23, 2021 in Manorcare Laureldale.

Born April 4, 1948 in Berks County, he was the son of the late Clifford Otto and Gertrude Stella (Greenly) Becker.

He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Fleetwood.

Gary graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 1966 and was a member of the National Honor Society. He graduated from West Chester State College in 1970 with a Bachelors of Science in Music. His love of music led him to his career as a Music Teacher in South River, New Jersey. Throughout his career, he taught elementary, middle and high school, and was awarded "Teacher of the Year" from the Governor of New Jersey. Upon retiring in 2005 he returned to Pennsylvania. When he wasn't teaching, he enjoyed traveling and was an avid collector.

He is survived by his sister: Sandra, wife of Garland Land, Jr., of Texas, niece; Laura Land and nephew, Lowell Land, of Texas. Also surviving are his great nieces; Addyson Lee and Taryn Land and great nephews, Jackson Lee and Noah Land.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 1st at 1pm at New Hanover Lutheran Cemetery, Gilbertsville, PA. Stitzel Funeral Home Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
