Gary Dean Alexander, 57, of Galena, died March 28, 2021 at home with loved ones by his side.

Born July 24, 1963 in Ogden Utah, Gary was the son of Willis Dean and Mary Ann Alexander. His father preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, uncles and cousins.

Gary is survived by his wife Regina Alexander of Galena, daughter Bridget, grandson JR and granddaughter Emma all of Inola, Okla.; his mother Mary Ann Stice of Catoosa, Okla.; brother Dennis Alexander (wife Sherri) of Council Hill, Okla.; sisters Amanda Alexander of Catoosa, Okla., Melissa Heater (husband Scott) of Muskogee, Okla. and Wendy Hesington (husband Rob) of Pea Ridge, Ark. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews, close friends whom Gary had considered family also survive.

Gary was a graduate of Catoosa High School with the class of 1981. He then enlisted into the United States Navy as a Navy Seabee, he served proudly for 13 years. While in the Navy he was a heavy equipment operator and drove over the road semi until 2014.

Gary loved the blues, wrote the blues and sang the blues. Gary also had a passion for cooking. His cooking was out of this world, anybody that has eaten his food will testify to this.

Gary was a laugh a minute even fighting cancer he always had a joke to tell or a laugh to share. Gary will be greatly missed by many friends, family and his four children. Gary is no longer suffering and is pain free playing music with his Heavenly Father and his earthly dad.

Service dates and times to be announced. Interment will be at Fort Gibson National Cemetery Fort. Gibson, Okla.
