Susan Elizabeth Serur Dean passed away peacefully on March 26, 2021. She was born on January 14, 1952 to Joseph and Kate Warren Serur in Greenville, Texas and grew up in Denton with her brother Sam. The Serur family owned The Collegiate Shoppe, a popular clothing store in Denton for many years and Susan was an integral part of the business.

She attended Stephens College and UNT where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha and graduated from SHSU in 1974.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her son Hunter Dean, daughter Hailey Dean, stepdaughter Melanie Dean Bumgarner and brother Sam Serur. She was so very proud of her children, they truly were the joys of her life. She also leaves numerous other relatives and dear longtime friends.

Above all, Susan loved her family, she loved her friends and she loved her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you remember Susan with a contribution to the charity of your choice.

A private service in memory of our beloved and always fun Susan will be held at a later date.
