She was the daughter of Alice May Washington-Lovett and William Lovett. She grew up in Everett, MA and graduated from Everett High School. She was a Boston debutante and was presented to society at the annual Cotillion by the Resthaven Junior Charity Club on Saturday, November 19, 1949. She married George Fredrick Green, Sr. of Mashpee and moved to Mashpee in 1957. They had four children. She worked as the administrative assistant for the Town of Mashpee Board of Assessors. She was also the co-owner of the Greenway Inc., which consisted of three businesses: a cleaning company, a school bus company, and the Greenway Restaurant. She served as the Chair of the Trustee Board at the Mashpee Baptist Church. She was active on the Women's Auxiliary for Veterans of Foreign Wars, and volunteered in the community of Mashpee, serving on multiple Town of Mashpee Committees including the Housing Authority. She also volunteered as a Girl Scout troop leader. Later in her life, she married Warren Hicks, Sr. She was predeceased by her brother, Edward Morrison; sister Priscilla Singleton; husband, Warren Hicks Sr.; son, Laurie Mark Green; niece, Renee Singleton; and granddaughter, Jerrica DosSantos. She is survived by three children, Cheryl Lovett Green, George "Chuckie" Green, and Guy Green; cousin Roland Lovett and his family; twelve grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, and nineteen stepchildren.
