Ricardo "Richie" Ramirez of Monahans, Texas went to be with the Lord on February 23, 2021 in his home at the age of 64. Cremation has taken place and a Mass arranged by the family, will be held in Carlsbad, New Mexico on April 7, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edward Catholic church with burial immediately following at Carlsbad Cemetery.
Ricardo was born October 19, 1956 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Raymundo and Gloria Ramirez.
Ricardo's love for sports was well displayed while he played baseball and wrestled throughout his High school years with the Carlsbad Cavemen. Ricardo graduated and left with an undefeated record in wrestling as well as going on and winning the State Championship twice in baseball. He was a graduate with the Class of 1974.
Ricardo was an amazing man that loved the outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting, camping and enjoying time with his family.
He was an amazing welder and went on to devote his working years to Price's in his hometown of Carlsbad. He later relocated to El Paso, continuing his work with Price's and then decided to take on the joy of truck driving and seeing new places. Ricardo eventually settled in Monahans, Texas to enjoy his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents Raymundo and Gloria Ramirez, his grandparents Rodidico and Gravilita Neurauter, and aunts, uncles, cousins and brother-in-law.

Ricardo is survived by his three children Brandy Ramirez (Denver, CO) Charity and husband David De La Paz (Monahans, TX) and Ricco Ramirez (Denver, CO),

his two sisters Betty Martinez (Carlsbad, NM) and Lupita and husband Randy Brooks (Crescent City, CA)and

longtime companion Helen Stone (Carlsbad, NM).
He had eight grandchildren Brooke, Ja'Laya, JazLynn, DJ, Amadee, Jonah, Jaymez and Jayauna as well as two great-grandchildren Roman and Romeo.
