Ralph "Bill" Hill, 90, of Albion, passed away unexpectedly early on Monday morning, March 29, 2021, at UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown. Per the wishes of Bill and his family, cremation rites have been accorded.

Ralph "Bill" Hill April 28, 1930 - March 29, 2021
Born Ralph William Hill Jr. on April 28, 1930, in Lynch, Nebraska, he was the son of Ralph W. Sr. and Hazel (Meachen) Hill. After graduating from high school in Stanhope, Iowa, Bill attended seminary at Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma. After he was ordained, he was the pastor at Bethel Grove Church in Liscomb, Iowa, as well as serving as chaplain for the National Guard. Bill obtained his law degree at Drake University and worked for many years as a lawyer in Marshalltown. He also served as a State Representative for the Iowa Legislature for several years. Bill was blessed with four children as a result of his unions, first to Lorraine Gulliver and later to Marilyn (Weatherly) Johnson. In 2000, he married Rose Mary Washington. He was a gifted piano player and could talk to anyone. Bill loved his collection of antique cars and was especially fond of Buicks. Surviving are his wife, Rose Mary; his children, Charles Hill, Cathryn Hill, and Jill Hill; his godson, Jared (Hannah) Thomas; his siblings, Rhoda Shirley and David Hill; and several other relatives. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Stephen Hill.
