Henry Allen Porter, 65, of Albion passed away on February 14, 2021. He was born on October 7, 1955, to Floyd and Beulah (Smith) Porter of Albion.

Henry attended Albion Public Schools and graduated in 1974. He worked at Union Steel then enlisted in the Army in 1975. During his Army career he was stationed in numerous areas including, Gulf War "Desert Storm" in Iraq; South Korea; Germany; Africa; and the Inauguration of President Ronald Reagan. Henry retired from the Army in 1997. He later worked for Lear Corporation and Albion Housing Commission.

Henry leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters Martisha Hale of Detroit, MI, and Marquita Hale of Pensacola, FL, and a son Jasper Hale of Orlando, Florida; two brothers, Donald and Michael (Veronica) Porter and one sister, Patricia McCormick all of Albion; two special brothers, James Jiles and William L Curry Jr. of Houston, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Doris Porter and Rosemary Richardson; four brothers, Charles, Larry, David, and Kenneth Porter; a niece Danielle Richardson; and two brothers-in-law, Fredrick Richardson Sr and Billy McCormick Sr.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 12pm at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, MI, with visitation starting at 11am prior to the service. Interment will follow at Rice Creek Cemetery, L Drive North, Marshall with a Military Honors Presented by the United States Army and the American Legion Post #55 of Albion.
