Steven W. Market, age 74 of Overland, Missouri passed peacefully in his sleep in the afternoon on Sunday, March 28, 2021. He was born on Tuesday, August 6, 1946 in Evansville, Indiana, the oldest of two boys born to Welborn and Eunice (Henderson) Market. They moved to St. Louis in 1960 and Steve attended Lindbergh High School. After graduation, he worked for Midwest Library Services as the Supervisor of Shipping and Receiving for 48 years. The last 41 years of his life, he spent with his love, Linda (Wait) Market.
Steve is survived by his wife, Linda; four children including his daughter, Michelle (Market) Gibson, his nephew that he raised as a son, Scott R. Wait, his niece that he raised as a daughter, Kelly A. (Market) Davis, and his son, Jonathan D. W. Market, and their spouses; five grandchildren, Adren Eugene Market, Mail A. Davis, Hayley I. Market, Ethan E. Wait and Gracen "Gracie" A. Wait; one brother, David H. Market; beloved mother-in-law Carol W. Wait; brother-in-law, Carrol "Bud" G. Wait; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Steve will be remembered for his generous and kind heart, his humor and wit, and boisterous voice.
