Sandra Faye Jenkins age 73 of Farmington, passed away on March 26, 2021. Sandra was born Sandra VanBriesen in Luverne, MN on June 28, 1947.
She attended schools in Lake Wilson, Bigelow and graduated in June of 1966 from Worthington High School. In the fall of 1966 she went to Humboldt Airline School and graduated in 1967. After graduation she went to Chicago, IL to work at the Arthritis Foundation.
The following years Sandy moved to Worthington where she met James Lee Jenkins. They loved to go camping, fishing and dancing together. They were married on April 16, 1969 at United Methodist Church in Worthington. They lived in Worthington and Bigelow where she worked at Sather's in the candy factory. In 1987 they moved to Farmington, MN where she worked at Peerless Plastics until her retirement. Sandy loved taking trips on their Harley, fishing, camping, gardening, and spending time with her grandkids.
Sandy was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James, and parents, Ulfert "Ole" and Vergal VanBriesen; She is survived by her children, Brad Jenkins, Kristi (Jon) Ekness, and Travis (Heather Kimmes) Jenkins; grandchildren, Tyler and Marissa Ekness, Shain Kimmes and Adriannah Jenkins; siblings, Janet VanBriesen and Arlys (Charlie) Hoffman; Also by other loving family and friends.
