THOMPSON, NELLIE “NELL” RUTH, age 93 of Davisburg, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021.
She was born on October 19, 1927 to parents George and Para (Ward) Matney. Nell enjoyed reading, gardening, and she was a very talented cook. She loved all animals, especially her Chihuahuas Taco and Bell and her cat Fat Boy.
Nell will be lovingly remembered by her children: Linda “Carol” Thompson, Connie Patricia Thompson, Rodger David (Donna) Thompson; grandchildren: Rhonda Sallee, Carl Sallee, Stacey Owens, Steven Kent, Michael Vaughn, Allison Thompson, Blake Thompson; great grandchildren: Brett Sallee, Corey Gilliam, Jason Gilliam, Trevor Helton, Michael Vaughn Jr., Eric Gambrel, Steven Kent Jr., Haley Lindsay, Holley Stheiner, Cole Dault, and Blake Thompson II; great-great granddaughter: Addison Gilliam.
She was preceded in death by both parents and siblings: Irene Payne and Alice Bowen.
As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date (5/3/2021) followed by inurnment at All Saints Cemetery in Waterford, Michigan.
