Ruth was born September 4, 1914 in Kiel, Wisconsin.
On October 12, 1940 Ruth was united in marriage to Frederick G. Maurer, former supervisor of date processing at the Kohler Co. The couple resided in the ten hundred block of Bell Ave. for many years. Mr. Maurer preceded her in death on June 20, 1992.
Ruth was a member of Zion Evangelical Covenant Church Survivors include three grandchildren, Sarah (Steven) Boyd of Bedford, Texas, Rachael Maurer of Fort Worth, Texas and Stefanie Maurer of Milwaukee; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Maurer of Houston, Texas; a great-grandson, Matthew Douglass Boyd; a brother-in-law, Marvin Maurer of Naperville, Illinois; a nephew, Norman Kanske of Sheboygan; and devoted caregiver for the past five years, Linda Spelshaus.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by a son, Douglass F. Maurer.
Burial in Wildwood Cemetery.
