Ben Edgar Griffin "Uncle Ben", 85, of Benton passed away March 26, 2021. He was born August 16, 1935 to the late Earl and Madge Griffin. He was a long-time member and deacon at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church. He served active duty in the US Army. He retired from Reynolds Metals. He was a natural when it came to wood working or gardening.



The family finds peace and comfort knowing Uncle Ben has made his way through the pearly gates and is walking on streets of gold. We know there was a lot of family there who ran to meet him with open arms including his deceased wife, Mary. He was also preceded in death by his parents, his sister Maxine and Troy Wright, brothers Bill and Deloris and Carroll and Loyce Griffin, and many other family and friends.



Uncle Ben was survived by many family and friends who loved him dearly including his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews: Mollie Wright, Tracy Wright, Glen and Heather Wright, Hollie, Kip and Austin Cole, Mark Griffin, Paul Griffin, Jeff Griffin, Vicki Griffin, Terry Griffin, Eric Griffin, Cynthia Patterson, Katie, Jane Ann and Jimmy Skaggs, Kelsey Patterson, Bill Harding and Darryl Harding. He is also survived by a brother, Leroy and his wife Evaie Griffin and their daughter Tanya.
