Margaret (Peg) Stevenson (Jonen), Combined Locks, WI, age 78, died Thursday, March 25, 2021 with family at her side, after a long-fought battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

She was born in Appleton on May 30, 1942 to Clarence and Mildred (Fillion) Jonen.

Peg is remembered by many people as a gifted seamstress for most of her life. She began her career doing alterations for Gloudemans and Dartmouth clothing stores. She also had many customers who came to her home for a wide variety of sewing needs, from simple hems to the challenging work of wedding dresses.

When in high school, Peg rode her horse Fritz from the family farm into Kaukauna for the football games, where one of the football players, a "Kaukauna Galloping Ghost", would ride Fritz onto the field throwing the football before the game.

She was very active in her children's activities as they were growing up, especially with scouting. She was proud of her family and of each of their God given gifts. She enjoyed fishing with Bob and summer camping trips with the whole family.

Peg and Robert (Bob) Stevenson were married on June 16, 1962. They met at The Cinderella Ballroom in Appleton. Together, they had three children. Bob, whom she most often called "George", has been a very supportive and loving husband supporting Peg through decades of living with MS.

Peg rarely complained of the suffering she endured.

The family is very grateful for the medical care, love, and attention she received over the past several years at The Atrium / Little Chute Health Care in Little Chute. We would also like to thank Dr. Servais and Christy who provided Peg care for many years.

Peg is survived by her husband, Robert; children: Timothy (Shelley), Brian's wife Tracey, and Lynn (David) Honari; grandchildren: Alexander Stevenson, Noah Stevenson, Bellamy Burrell Stevenson, Bennett Burrell Stevenson, Julia Honari, Luke Honari, and Sean Honari; siblings: Jean Kahler, Donna Landers, Jerome (Diana), and Patricia; brothers and sisters-in-law: Carol (Lee) Planert, Dan Stevenson, Connie (Garld) Sanlin, and Jim Stevenson; and many nephews and nieces.

Peg was preceded in death by her son Brian; infant grandsons, Nicholas and Samuel Stevenson; brother, James; parents: Clarence and Mildred Jonen; father and mother-in-law, Elwood and Ann Stevenson; sister-in-law, Elaine Stevenson; and brother-in-law, Don Kahler.

Visitation will be held Tuesday March 30, 2021 at ST. PAUL PARISH (410 Wallace St. Combined Locks) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. John Becker will officiate. Committal St. Paul Cemetery will follow. A memorial is being established.
