Danny Wayne Bryant, age 70 years and 6 days, of Whitley City, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 in Waynesburg, Kentucky and was placed in the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Braxton King officiating.

He was born March 11, 1951 in Whitley City to Holys Bryant and Lydia Parks Bryant. Dan graduated from Somerset Community College and had worked as a lab technician for Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Indiana before his retirement. He attended First Baptist Church in North Vernon, Indiana. Dan was an avid gun and knife trader with a special love for military weapons. He enjoyed UK football and basketball, corvettes, NASCAR, and especially liked one eared teddy bear cakes. But his favorite thing to do was spend time with his family.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers, Holys "Jack" Bryant, Bob Bryant, and Harold Dean Bryant, and a sister, Shirley Jean Cooper.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Meadows Bryant, whom he married March 29, 1974, brother, Jim Bryant and his wife, Georgia Sue, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Betty Barth, also survived at the time of Dan's passing, but has since passed away.
