Margaret was born in Stamford on December 8, 1928; daughter of the late Rocco and Bernarda DiNapoli. Margaret, and the love of her life, Tony, raised their four children in Stamford.
Left to cherish her memory are children, Bernadette (Stephen) Ward, Marilyn Lodato, Timothy (Mary) Abbazia, Anthony (Lisa) Abbazia; and grandchildren Timothy (Rebecca), Brian, Kevin (Ashley), Sean (Samantha) Hughes, and Holly (Todd) Murphy, Michael Lodato and Julie (Colby) McCormick, TJ and Sophia Abbazia, Tony, Sara, Jessica, Maria, Dominic and Lydia Abbazia.
Margaret is also survived by an extended family of great grandchildren, in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Margaret was predeceased by her beloved and devoted husband, Anthony (Tony) Abbazia; her sister, Carmella Cantavero; and brothers Alphonse and Pasquale DiNapoli. She is survived by sisters-in-law Marie DiNapoli and Mary DiNapoli.
Margaret graduated from Stamford High School in 1946 and started working at the Home Finance Company where she met her husband. After raising her family, she returned to work for People's Bank, retiring at the age of 62. A few years later Margaret and Tony moved to Milford, CT and very much enjoyed living there throughout their retirement years.
Margaret was grateful for all the blessings in her life and always maintained a positive attitude. She valued her family and was the most supportive mother and friend.
