Mr. Joseph Webster Woods, II., age 77, passed away at Candler Hospital on Friday, February 12, 2021. Mr. Woods was born in Savannah on November 17, 1943 to the late Ernest Chester and Susie Vernell Blitch Woods. He served in the Air Force and later owned and operated Lil Chick for over 30 years in Savannah. Mr. Woods also played Santa Claus for over 20 years around the local area and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed family history, spending time with his family and especially his five grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Louise Ince.

Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Susan Woods; son, Joseph Webster Woods, III. of Savannah; two daughters, Daisy Goldsberry and her husband Keith of Burlington, KY and Tina Jernigan of Ellabell; brother, Ezra Woods and his wife Joyce of Omaha, NE; sister, Margaret Aksdal of Savannah; five grandchildren, Brittany Jernigan, Brandi Jernigan, Molly Jernigan, Cody Jernigan and Wyatt Jernigan all of Ellabell and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lower Black Creek Cemetery with Bishop Jeremy Martin officiating.
