Thomas Franklin Jenkins Jr., 85, went home to his Savior on March 26, 2021.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 30th, at 3:00 at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home, there will be a visitation following the service. Arrangements are under the directions of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
Born in Wichita County, Dec. 7 1935, Tommy attended Friberg Elementary, Reagan Junior High, played football for Wichita Falls High School and graduated with the class of 1954. He went on to attend NTSU and MSU, where he played varsity football. He worked in oil field sales then spent most of his years as proprietor of Callfield Boot Repair where he patented "Tuffy Weights" and INR knee braces. Later in life he became a correctional officer at the Allred unit and retired after twelve years.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas F Jenkins Sr. and Ruby Davis Jenkins, his son Thomas Franklin Jenkins III, his sister Shirle Draper, and his great grandson Henry Robert Ritchie.
Tommy is survived by his wife DiAnn Jenkins and her children Michael Culipher and Karrie Brown and their families. Tommy is survived by his daughters, Candace Havens, husband Mark, Sara Rugeley, husband Phil, all of Wichita Falls, his two sisters, Nora Pebworth of Wichita Falls and Lynda Walters, husband Dan, of Austin. He also leaves behind six grandchildren Brandon Jenkins, wife Leslie, of Bartonville, Texas, Robb Havens, wife Tabitha Havens, of Wichita Falls, Julie Ritchie, husband Chris, of Double Oak, Texas, Matt Havens, wife Jennifer, of Wichita Falls, Rosemary Ellen Rugeley and Stanley Philip Rugeley II of Wichita Falls, seven great grandchildren: Haylee and Abby Havens, Riley, Parker, and Emery Jenkins, Taryn Ritchie, and Jackson Thomas Havens.
Tommy is remembered by many friends he held court with daily at the shoe shop and YMCA. Tommy had many friends and neighbors that tended to him until the end, Toni and Jay Tepe, Lewis Pira, Hayden Hansen and Angela Holder.
The family would like to thank Beyond Faith Hospice for their loving daily care of Tommy. Tommy is remembered by his bright smile and beautiful blue eyes. Our loving Dad, Pap, Bodie, and our Uncle Tom will be in our hearts forever. His legacy is the family he left behind.
