Beverle Derpinghaus

April 8, 1933 - January 15, 2021

Clovis, California - Bev was born in Green Bay, WI on April 8, 1933. She spent her formative years in a small town 30 miles north of Green Bay, attending grammar school there.

She later attended and graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1951. After graduation Bev was employed by the Wisconsin Telephone company. She moved to Fresno, CA during the summer of 1952. While living in Fresno she was employed by Coopers Department Store.

On March 14th 1953, in Pacific Grove, CA, Bev and Richard were married. At that time Richard, who was also a native of Green Bay, was stationed at Castle Air Force base in Merced, CA. Upon Richards discharge from the military in January 1955, the couple returned to Green Bay until October of that year in which time they moved to Fresno CA. They resided there raising their family until moving to Clovis, CA in 1997.

Bev was employed at Fresno Unified School District for over 25 years, retiring during the summer of 1992. She loved to travel, and enjoyed many trips abroad, as well as several cruises with her husband taking pleasure in everyone to the fullest. She also enjoyed gardening, books, reading, and singing in the choir as a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Bev was also a member of CSEA, RPEA, Los Amigos and The Assembly Ballroom Dance Clubs. She greatly enjoyed spending time at the family cabin at Camp Sierra in Big Creek, CA.

Beverle is survived by her husband Richard, and one son, Loren, (Susan) of Fresno, and three daughters, Denise Carlson (Mark) of Clovis, Renee Derpinghaus of Fresno, Lynette Shor (Amnon) of Fresno. Also surviving are six grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Preceding Bev in passing was her grandson Ryan Derpinghaus.

A private family service will be held. In leu of flowers, donations can be made to "Redeemer Endowment Fund" 1084 W. Bullard, Fresno, CA 93711.

Beverle is survived by her husband, Richard Derpinghaus; daughter Renee Derpinghaus; son Loren Derpinghaus (Susan); and daughter Denise Carlison (Mark).

Beverle also leaves behind 6 grandchild and 10 great-grandchildren to cherish her memory.
