The Honorable Captain Benjamin White of Brookline, Massachusetts, graduated from Harvard in 1744. He was active in town affairs, serving as selectman and accessor. He was a key leader of the American Revolution in Massachusetts. Although he was not a soldier, his title of Captain came from earlier militia service. Captain Benjamin White was one of the most ardent supporters of the Revolution from its earliest days.

Benjamin White was first married to Elizabeth Aspinwall, mother of his children. She was born June 3, 1729 in Brookline, Massachusetts.

Capt. Benjamin White married Esther Daggett on October 27, 1788 (First Parish Church Records).

Capt. Benjamin White was the nephew of Ann White Boylston, and first cousin of Susanna Boylston Adams.

Captain Benjamin and Mrs. Elizabeth White had five children, Susanna, born in 1756, Edward, 1758, Thomas, 1763, John, 1766, who died at the age of two years, and Oliver, born in 1771.

Susannah's first husband was Nathaniel Seaver. After he died, Susannah married Samuel Gore. Benjamin Aspinwall White, H.C. 1811 (Dr. B. A. White of Milledgeville, Georgia) lived with his aunt Susannah while he was a student at Harvard College.

Major Edward White
Edward White of Savannah, Chatham County, and Brooklyne Plantation near Milledgeville, Georgia. Distinguished soldier and hero of The Revolution. He died in 1812 and is buried at Savannah.

Thomas White 1763–1819
"John White of Muddy River" says the following: "In 1820, after the death of Thomas White, Oliver bought about twenty-five acres more of this land along Walnut street, of John Robinson, administrator of the estate of Thomas White."

John White 1766–1768
"John White of Muddy River" says this John lived to age two years old.
