Dovie Mae Bowling Morales (fondly known as "Tooter") lived at Beacon Hill in Denison, Texas. She passed away March 17, 2021, at the home of her daughter in Sherman, surrounded by her beloved family.

Dovie "Tooter" was born March 19, 1934, in Muenster, Texas to Joe Woods Bowling and Lottie Charlotte Harburger Bowling. She recalled fond memories of her childhood: "The first place I can remember living was Sivells Bend. My sister and I had a lot of places to play. We had a lot of nice shade trees. My dad farmed with horses. When we saw Daddy coming in from the fields, my sister would go to the pump and fill the watering trough full of water for the horses. When Momma went to work in the garden, we would take all of the plates and cups to play in the dirt."

The family picked cotton to make ends meet, but Tooter did not like picking cotton. She and her siblings liked to play under big shade trees and often made muddy messes, which she claims her mother never seemed to mind.

She started her own family in Collinsville, Texas, and finished raising her children in Sherman.
She had a long career taking care of others as a CNA, medication aide, activity director and providing private duty care. Following retirement, she volunteered her time as a foster grandparent, assisting in classrooms at Washington and Fred Douglass Elementary schools within Sherman I.S.D.

She was a member of Wood Street and Westwood Church of Christ in Sherman. In 2007 she transferred her membership to Collinsville Church of Christ, when she moved to live closer to her oldest daughter, Bonnie Mae.

Dovie was preceded in Death by her parents: Joe Woods and Lottie Charlotte Harburger Bowling; and siblings: Leroy Bowling, Sonny Bowling, Floyd Dean Bowling; and grandson: Jason Bonner Troxtell.

She is survived by her children: William Joe Plumlee and wife Barbara of Sherman, Bonnie Mae Plumlee Woody and Husband Randy of Collinsville, Derrell Bert Plumlee and wife Kathy of Denison, Shirley Meshell Plumlee Salas and Husband Tony of Sherman, Lavonda Jean Plumlee Lavender and Husband Clem of Sherman, Angela Renea Morales Roberts and Significant Other Darwin Romero of Allen. Also 14 Grandchildren and 25 Great Grandchildren and multiple Nieces and Nephews. Siblings: Betty Jo Lea of OKC, Nona B. (Sal) Reynolds of Callisburg, Johnnie Ruth Waren of Riverside, CA, Don Edward Bowling of Sherman, J.W. Bowling of Colbert, OK.

Special thanks also to the Elysian Home Hospice staff, who cared for our mother with compassion and dignity over the past two and half years (Don Felder, Nurse, Amanda Clark, Hospice Aide, and Heather Hester SW.).
