Barbara Louise Bratton Wheeler of Austell, Georgia, born May 8, 1947 received her wings and passed through the gates of heaven on March 26, 2021. A kind loving person that never met a stranger and she would give you the shirt off her back. She will always be loved and thoroughly missed by everyone.
Barbara enjoyed eating out, attending movies and visiting the mountains. She also enjoyed vacations in Panama City, Florida.
Barbara was employed by Mead Packaging in Atlanta for over thirty years where she retired. It was through this employment that she met and married the love of her life for twenty years, the late Harold L. Wheeler.
She is survived by her only daughter, Donna Sue Kelley Cole who lives in Paulding County, Georgia. She has a grandson, Robert Michael Shane Kelley of Marietta, GA. Her sister and brother-in-law, Judy Bratton Adams and Ron Adams. Her sister and brother-in-law, Angela Lynn Bratton Malone and Anthony Malone. Several nieces and a nephew, Danielle Handy, Joshua Smith, Chelsi Womack. Several grandnieces and nephews, Carter Ray Womack, a second grandnephew arriving in September, 2021. Andre', Cierra, Ariel and Jennie Adams; Robert Malone and Matthew Malone; one great grandnephew, Royal De'mour.
Barbara is survived by one aunt, Joy Neal Pope of Marietta. She is also survived by numerous cousins whom she loved dearly.
Barbara is survived by her best friend of over 60 years, Annette Shoemaker. These two have been dear and faithful friends and are Godmothers to each other's children. Barbara is survived by a precious godson, Chad Larry Shoemaker.
Barbara had numerous friends that loved her dearly; Ray Long and Mark Brandon Scoggins. And many more that has passed before her.
