Jerome B Woods Jr. age 83 passed away in his care home on March 21, 2021 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was born July 10, 1937 in Wichita, Kansas to Jerome B Woods Sr and Mabel Woods, he has a surviving younger brother Charles Edward Woods whom he loved dearly who resides in Broomfield, CO.

He spent his early years in Perryton, TX and the family moved to Pueblo, CO. While in High School he found his love of football. He played both in High School and at Pueblo Junior College. He then transferred to Colorado College where he played and coached after graduation. He married Sharon Shay in August of 1959 and they moved to Denver, CO where Lisa, their first daughter was born. They then moved to Colorado Springs where their youngest daughter Amy was born.

Jerry got his master's degree from the University of Wisconsin. He excelled in the banking industry. Holding high-level positions in Denver, Billings, MT., and Fargo ND. He never met a stranger; and was the ultimate "connector."

Jerry's love of Football continued throughout his life. He would go back to CC for the annual alumni football game finally stopping after he was declared "The Oldest Tiger Returning to the Lair." His body could not take the beating at those outings, but he continued to return as a spectator. He was an assistant on the Dakota Ridge High School football team later in his life; and was an AVID Bronco fan.

He helped to start Young Life worship at Billings West High School and continued to serve and love the Lord throughout his life.

He and Sharon divorced in 1981, shortly after he remarried and moved to Fargo, ND where he was a stepfather to Lainie, Jessica and Naomi Greenfield. He loved those girls, and as he did with his biological children was their greatest supporter in cheerleading, majorettes, and sports.

Jerry was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in his late 60's and moved to an assisted living facility shortly after that diagnosis. He met another CC graduate Liz Spier while living at the facility, where they danced, went on cruises, traveled with family, went to the theatre and they spent 10 happy years loving life and loving each other until he was transferred to a Memory Care home near his daughter Amy where he lived out the last years of his life.

We like to remember him dancing, singing Johnny Cash and the Oldies from the 1950's. He brought us all so much joy and laughter.

He is survived by his brother Chuck, his daughters Lisa and Amy, his partner Liz, his beautiful granddaughters Kylie, Madison and Kadyn, and Ryan, (Lisa's stepson who thought of him as a Grandpa for sure), his Great-Granddaughter Everlyn. and his lovely stepdaughters Lainie, Jessica and Naomi.
