LUCY JONES

Lucy Jean Jones (De Block) passed away peacefully after a lengthy stay at Goderich Hospital in her 84th year on March 10, 2021 with family by her side.

She joins her predeceased husband Doug (May 7, 2014). Left behind are siblings Jerry (Ann), Leona Leuszler (George), Henry (Barbara) and step-daughter Shauna (Al), several nieces, nephews and cousins who were very dear to her and to many of the younger cousins she was "Aunt Lucy". She also leaves behind her two very close friends Angie Swart of Seaforth and Don Ross of Goderich.

Besides her husband Doug, she is predeceased by parents Henry and Gertrude De Block.

For several years Lucy was on the Board of the Alzheimer Society. She was a "Red Hatter" and took a leading role in planning all their activities. She loved traveling, theatre, playing cards and music. About three years ago, she became a resident of Harbour Hills in Goderich after moving from her home at Meneset Retirement Community in Goderich. She made many friends there and took an active role in all the activities. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

A private family service will be held at the Lockhart Funeral Home 109 Montreal St., Mitchell. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or charity of one's choice would be appreciated and may be made at LockhartFuneralHome.com.
