A Private Family Graveside Service for Coach Robert Leslie Waters, 56, of Tallassee, will be held at the Jackson's Gap Baptist Church Cemetery. Randy Anderson will officiate. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Coach Waters passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at home. He was born on March 16, 1965 to Robert Edward Waters and Joyce Walker Waters. He loved to fish. He was a schoolteacher and coached a little bit of everything. He was loved by everybody. He was a character and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed picking at his friends, and everyone had a nickname from him. He loved his family, friends, and community and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his special friends, David and Christy Stough and family, and John-John Marshall; niece, Kristi Waters Spraggins (Travis) of Notasulga, AL; great-niece, Kalyn Spraggins; great-nephews, Branton Spraggins, and Garrett Spraggins; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joseph Edward Waters; and sister, Patricia Anne Waters.
