Robert S. Becker Jr., 85, of Emmaus, died on Sunday, April 1, 2007 in his home. He was the husband of Arline V. (Carl) Becker. The couple celebrated 64 years of marriage. Born in Lakewood, N.J., he was the son of the late Robert S. Sr. and Jessie (Neilson) Becker.
He was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ, Emmaus. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. Robert was an electrician for Bethlehem Steel Corporation for 42 years before retiring.
Survivors: Wife; children, Stephen R. Becker, Russell C. Becker, Teresa A. Shumack, Marilynn J. Johnson and Donald G. Becker Sr.; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a stepmother, Mayme.
Services: noon Wednesday, St. Johns U.C.C., 139 N. Fourth Street, Emmaus, Pa. Call 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday in the church. Interment in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown. Arrangements by Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
