Our precious mother, Evelyn Reid passed away peacefully on March 16, 2021 at the age of 84. Born Evelyn Michalak to her loving parents the late Walter and Martha Michalak (Markiewicz) in Erie, Pennsylvania. She spent her childhood and young adult years in Erie, Pennsylvania where she married the love of her life the late Walter F. Reid on November 3, 1962. In the late 1960's Evelyn moved to her husband's hometown of Miami. There they raised their three children until Walter's passing. She lived the remainder of her life in Ocala, Florida taking care of her children and grandchildren who were the greatest joys of her life. She was known by her loved ones as a selfless, gentle and loving woman with a jovial spirit and an unending devotion to her family. She will be remembered for her perogies and triangle pancakes but most importantly her never ending love of her family.
Evelyn was predeceased by her husband (Walter), parents (Walter and Martha) three brothers (Eddie, Richie and Al) and two sisters (Irene and Theresa) She is survived by her three beloved children, Jeannine Blanchard (Paul), Laurie Fuller (Zane), John Reid and her seven grandchildren she also loved dearly, Ashley, Ryan (Gwen), Paul (Emily), Anthony, Zadia, Isaac, Jake.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Walter. A Graveside Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on March 29, 2021. The service will be located at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn Park Cemetery South at 11655 SW 117th Avenue, Miami, Florida 33186.
