Helen J. Walker, 77, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was born on August 11, 1943 in Columbus, Indiana, the daughter of the late Turner McNear and Elizabeth (Bird) McNear. She married the love of her life, Vernon Walker, Sr., on April 1962, who preceded her in death. She was a former employee of Kimball Furniture in Borden, Indiana. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.
Her survivors include, four sons, Vernon Walker, Jr. of Frostproof, Florida, David Lee Walker of Springville, Indiana, James Allan Walker of Clarksville, Indiana, and Darrell Keith Walker of Scottsburg, Indiana, eight grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren. Funeral Service and visitation was held on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Collins Funeral Home. Interment at Kay's Chapel Cemetery near Fredericksburg, IN.
