Margaret Sparks died peacefully surrounded by loving family on October 25, 2007 in American Fork, Utah.

Born April 17, 1925 to William Anson and Lila Margaret Mitchell Hatch in Provo. She was educated in Provo.

She married Rex Eugene Nielsen Nov 12, 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple and they were blessed with four daughters. Gene died March 2, 1974. Margaret married Dee Sparks June 29, 1979 and he died May 21, 2005. She had a great love for both of her families. She was active in many positions in the LDS Church. She loved to sing and directed many choirs and was always involved in music.

Survived by Mavaun Nielsen, Spanish Fork, Linda (Jay) Allen, American Fork, Diane (Rex) Newman, Pleasant Grove, Cheryl Jean Leka, Salt Lake City, Helen (Dee) Tranter, Moab, Dee Ray (Sandra) Sparks, Grantsville, Scott (DeAnna) Sparks, American Fork, Ann (Mike) Arehart, Moab; 28 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; and sisters, Vivian Grindstaff, Bountiful; and Rhea (Neldon) Wride, Provo.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct 30, 2007 in the American Fork 10th Ward, 507 West 700 North. Friends may call at the church 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
Burial: American Fork Cemetery.
