Mrs. Strickland was born December 1, 1928 in Horry County, a daughter of the late Troy and Pinkie Floyd. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Strickland are: 2 Sons: Billy (Ellen) Hardee of Nichols and Sammy (Sandra) Hardee of Loris; 5 Grandchildren: Mickey Hardee, Sam Hardee, Donna McDaniel, Chad Hardee and Natalie (Rob) Huff; 7 Great Grandchildren; and 6 Great Great Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday afternoon, August 24, from 1:00 until 2:30 P.M. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 2:30 P.M. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Jimmy Floyd officiating. Burial will be held in Riverside Cemetery following the service.
