John was a plumber and loved his job. He was a member of the Masons and the Denver area Square and Round Dance Club and the Square Halos Dance Club. John and Helen danced for years and both held office in their clubs. John was a member of USS Lexington Volunteers a 1942 Minute Man Group, he joined the Navy on February 4, 1943 as a Radio Man and was Honorable discharged on November 6, 1945. He earned various medals and awards during his time in the Navy. John is preceded in death by his wife Helen, who passed away on August 21, 2007. Son, Jack Frank Pitts and Daughter, Sharon Webb.
