Chastine Wood, aged 70 years, died at 4:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at his home, 620 East Broadway, following a short illness. He was born in Cooper county, February 6, 1849 and has been a resident of Sedalia for the past 25 years. He was a member of the Baptist church. For the past six years he was watchman at M.K.T. crossing at Broadway.

Besides his widow, Minnie (Nannie) B. Wood, he is survived by the following children: Ord W. Wood, Walter A. Wood and Clarence A. Wood, all of Kansas City, Mrs. Marvin J. Creegan, of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Mrs. Minnie Riggs, of Unionville, Mo., Mrs. O. H. Bartlett of 1421 West Eleventh street, Miss Marjorie and Etta Ruth of the home address.

The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at McLaughlin's Chapel the Rev. W. B. McGraw, pastor of the East Sedalia Baptist church, to officiate. Burial will be in the Dresden cemetery.

Pallbearers will be W. M. Hayden, George Bardwell, C. A. Herrick, Clark Schenck, William Harris, R. S. Salmons.

Funeral of Chastine Wood
The funeral of Chastine Wood, 70 years of age, who died Sunday afternoon at his home, 620 East Broadway, was held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the McLaughlin funeral chapel. Rev. J. D. Robins, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church, South, officiating.

Interment was in the Dresden cemetery.
