WELLSVILLE — Delores J. "Dee" Williams, 92, of Wellsville, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021, at Calcutta Health Care Center.
She was born January 2, 1929, in East Liverpool, the daughter of the late James A. and Dora M. (Talbott) Bayer. In addition to her parents, Dee was preceded in death on March 24, 2002, by her husband, George E. Williams, whom she married December 3, 1950. She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Jeremy Talbott; two sisters: Phyllis Gouldsberry and Betty Chrislip; four brothers: James, Phillip, Charles, and Richard Bayer; and her son-in-law, Charles Philip Talbott.
Dee graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1947. She worked in the food service industry from the time she was in high school until she retired in 2018 from owning and operating The Golden Carry-Out in Wellsville for forty-eight years. Dee was a member of the Yellow Creek Grange and Bethel United Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Carma Lee Talbott of New Springfield, Ohio; two sons: James Earl Williams and his wife, Sharon, of Wellsville, and George Allen Williams and his wife, Karen, of Wellsville; one brother, David Bayer of Boardman; and one sister-in-law, Linda Bayer of Glenmoor. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Anna Santangelo, Daniel Williams, Veronica Hindes, Taylor Williams, Erika Williams, and Emily DuVall; and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of people in the funeral home at one time will be limited to maintain proper social distancing protocols, and in compliance with the orders of Governor Mike DeWine, masks must be properly worn while in the funeral home. Also, while the family greatly appreciates your love and support during this difficult time, they ask that you greet them with kind and loving words instead of a hug or handshake.
Burial will be in Bethel United Presbyterian Cemetery where a memorial service will be held at a later date.
