Yankeetown, IN. – James Harold Dickerson Sr., 80, of Yankeetown, Indiana passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at his home. James was born in Paradise, Kentucky on March 9, 1941 to the late Otto and Arie (Cox) Dickerson.

James was an avid sportsman and family man who loved hunting, traveling on his motorcycle, and camping with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Sally, Bea, Lawrence, Ray, Harlon, and Bill.

James is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ada Dickerson of Yankeetown, IN; children, Sheila Norton and her husband, Tony of Yankeetown, IN; James Dickerson, Jr. of Boonville, IN; Steven Dickerson and his wife, Melody of Chandler, IN; grandchildren, Lisa Keethers (Jason); Adam Smith (Amber); Ashley Dickerson (Curtis); Dylan Dickerson; Tanner Dickerson (Hannah); Brylee Dickerson; great-grandchildren, Tyler Baker (Allix); Logan Keethers; Aidan Keethers; Charlotte Hoffman; sister, Frances Burke (Tom); brother, Carroll Dickerson (Linda); several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2 P.M. on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville, Indiana with Pastor Phil Elikofer officiating. Burial will be at Bates Hill Cemetery in Yankeetown, Indiana.
