David Arthur May, age 67 of Hager Hill, Kentucky passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 at his residence. Born February 25, 1954 in Johnson County, Kentucky to the late James Arthur May and Fannie Hackworth May. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one grandson, Charles Devan Greer.

He is survived by two daughters: Sabrina Kelly Morris (Jeremy Bishop) of Hager Hill, Kentucky, Lorrie Kay Strobel of Panama City, Florida; one brother, James Larry "Bubby" May (Norma) of Riceville, Kentucky; four sisters: Charlotte Miller of Findlay, Ohio, Donna Gossman (Tom) of Carey, Ohio, Conna Tassie of Paintsville, Kentucky, and Judy Carol Caudill of Lexington, Kentucky; seven grandchildren: Blake Tyler Poe, Katelynn Brooke Fay, Seth Lee May, Kellie Nicole Tackett, Adrionna Jade Morris, Kierra Paige Morris, Colton Bishop; four great grandchildren: Kylie Poe, Jeralyn Poe, Liam Fay, Aubree Fay. Also surviving is his companion dog "Buster".

Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Monday, March 29, 2021 in the chapel of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Lakeview Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville, Kentucky. Ronnie Spriggs will officiate. Friends may visit at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home on Saturday from 6:00-9:00pm and on Sunday from 9:00am-9:00pm.
