Mary "Kaye" Sloan, 74, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at her home in Princeton. She was born April 25, 1946 in Princeton to the late Billy Frank Scott and Norma Jene (Fields) Scott. After she graduated high school, she left Princeton to marry Gordon Sloan on March 27, 1965 in California and together they settled in Denver, Colorado where they had their children. They moved back home to the Princeton area in 1980. Kaye spent 26 years working in the healthcare field as a nurse and was a natural caregiver. She found great joy in being around the ocean and enjoyed dancing at the Elks Club when she was a Lady Elk. She loved her family and was an amazing mom making sure her children never wanted for anything.

Kaye is survived by her children, Sheralynn "Shorty" Sloan (Angie) of Cleveland, Ohio, Cinda Sloan of Princeton, and Scott Sloan (Tina) of Knoxville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Hailey, Macon and Merritt, Austin, and Devin; siblings, Jene Ann Scott of Buford, Georgia and Sam Scott (Annette) of Owensville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Michael Scott.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Decker Cemetery near Patoka with Pastor Rick Lance officiating.
