Larry Dean May, 80, formerly of Springfield, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021, in his home, after a long illness. Larry was born in Lentner, MO, on August 25, 1940, to William and Geraldine (Maupin) May. He was a 1958 graduate of Shelbina High School, Shelbina, MO. He retired in 2008, as a truck driver with CFI Trucking Company. He was signed to the St. Louis Cardinals Organization Team as a pitcher, in 1958. He loved watching Baseball and Football and being around his family.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Sondra May, in 2008, his daughter Mitzi, and his sister Donna. He is survived by his wife, Ginger Lee (Yunger) Walker, whom he married in 2016. He is also survived by his daughter and her husband, Kellie and Dan Boyd, four step-children: Lorie Walker, Kim Walker, Eric Walker and Phillip Walker, two grandchildren: Austin Raida and Savanna Garretson, and five great-grandchildren, three sisters: Connie Mann and her husband, Dan, Pat Maston, and her husband, Roger, and Debbie Bode and her husband, Jim.
Graveside Services Saturday, March 27, 2021, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. No viewing or visitation was planned.
