Robert "Bob" Curtin Quinn, 81, of Wethersfield, beloved husband of Priscilla (Sampson) Quinn, peacefully passed away Friday, March 19, 2021.

Bob was born December 21, 1939 and raised in Branford, son of the late John and Betty (Sykes) Quinn.

He was a graduate of Branford High School where after graduation he went on to attend The Citadel, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Bob held the 4th highest rank in his Battalion and was voted by his classmates to serve on the school's Honor Committee.

Following graduation in 1961, Bob served as a 1st Lieutenant in the 1st Battalion, 12th Field Artillery, 2nd Infantry Division at Ft. Benning, GA until May, 1964. He subsequently served 5 months in the active reserves and close to 5 years as an active reservist, holding the rank of Captain. He was Honorably discharged in 1969. Bob held our men and women serving in the military in the highest regard, supporting Veteran's organizations whenever he could.

Bob was employed by the Aetna Life & Casualty, holding an increasing number of responsible positions in the Human Resources Department. He was viewed as a valuable counselor to management and employees alike. His pragmatic approach to problem solving and high ethical standards were traits that not only served him well in business, but throughout his entire life as well.

Bob was a member and Past President of the Aetna's Men's Club. In addition, he was active in the Wethersfield Little League for 10 years, winning 3 town championships during his coaching days.

Upon his retirement, Bob was a management consultant for 10 years, a co-founder of the Aetna Retirees Association and was actively involved with The Church of the Incarnation, heading up the Garden Ministry, serving as a greeter and usher as well.

Bob was an avid golfer and long-time member of the Wethersfield Country Club.

In addition to his wife Priscilla of 59 years, Bob is survived by his loving family, including three sons, Russell and wife Melinda, of Portland, OR, Erin and wife Pamela, of Middlebury, VT, Mark and wife Wendy of Windsor; a daughter, Kristin Goggin, and husband, Daniel, of Plainville; six wonderful grandchildren, Bobby, Melissa, Hannah, Riley, Connor and Cody; five adored great grandchildren, Daylan, Jean, Priscilla Mae, Clementine and Theodore; a sister, Susan, and husband, Michael; and many nieces and nephews with their families.

In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by a daughter, Laura, and grandson, Sean, as well as a sister and brother-in-law, Betsy and Stuart Klarman.

The Quinn family requests in lieu of flowers, and to honor Bob, considering a contribution to any organization that supports Army Veterans, or research to cure diabetes, macular degeneration, COPD, and/or cancer.
