Sean E. "Woobie" Thomas, age 37, of Mount Vernon passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at his home.

He was born on November 27, 1983 in Grove City, PA to Cyrus Thomas and Susan Clarke. Sean was a 2002 graduate of Mount Vernon High School where he lettered in track, cross country and band. He attended Muskingum College for a year. He was a former employee at Shoemaker Roofing, Dana Corporation and for 14 years at Showa. Sean was also an Eagle Scout.

He is survived by his parents, Susan (Thomas Cassell) Clarke; Cyrus (Jacqueline) Thomas; his sister Alli Thomas; his brother Cyrus J. (Willow) Thomas; and two nephews, Demetri and Gavin Thomas.

Friends may call on Monday, March 29, 2021 from 5-7 PM at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home. A service will be held on Tuesday, at the funeral home, beginning at 11 AM with Pastor Gordy Harmon officiating. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Association, through JDRF.org, or to Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
