Services for Sheila Gay Elrod, 29 will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with Dr. Jerold R. McBride and the Rev. James Andrews officiating. Burial will be in Lawnhaven Memorial Garden, under the direction of Johnson's Funeral Home.
Miss Elrod was killed at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday during the robbery of a local jewelry store.
She was born Nov. 16, 1959, in San Angelo.
She was a graduate of Central High School where she was a member of the Tex-Anns drill team and the Pheta Tr-Hi-Y Sorority, Miss Elrod had attended Angelo State for two years and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Festus A. Elrod of San Angelo; a sister, Diana Elrod of San Angelo; a brother Gary Elrod of San Angelo; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Mayes of Roscoe; and her paternal grandmother, Mrs. G. A. Elrod of Abilene.
The family requests memorials be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
