Born in Cleveland County, NC on August 9, 1936, he was the son of the late Addie Edward Walker and Annie Maude Newton Walker. He was retired from Century Furniture Company and served in the US Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Sue Newton Walker; three brothers, Raymond, Marce and Forest Walker and one sister, Coleen Parker.
Survivors include two sons, Eddie Walker and wife, Pam of Casar and Chris Walker and wife, Jeannie of Casar; four grandchildren, Edie Walker, Ethan Walker, Troy Walker and Meredith McNeilly; a brother, Ray Walker of Casar; a sister, Nadine Goodman of Casar and a special friend, companion and caregiver, Flora Knox.
Burial in St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery.
