Service for Elizabeth Ann "Beth" Roberts, 88, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hillyard Baptist Church. Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Roberts, who was born in Arkansas, died Friday.

She graduated from Arkansas State Teaching College in Conway, Arkansas, and taught elementary school until 1934. She and her husband moved to Spokane in 1944 from Grand Coulee, Washington, and she worked at Hillyard Baptist Church and was active in the Columbia Parent-Teacher Association, Lady Fireman's Society and the Election Board.

Her husband, Lyle Roberts, died in 1980.

She is survived by two daughters, Dortha Riffle of Sandpoint and Virginia Seleski of Spokane; one sister, Arta Viles of St. Petersburg, Florida; one brother, John Gamble of Victorville, California; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
