Born August 29, 1928, in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Norman L. & Mary Alice (Wisler) Zimmerman. He was preceded in death by one son, Dale Richard Zimmerman; three brothers & one sister.
Mr. Zimmerman was a packer for Pittsburgh Knipple Works and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was past president of United Steel Workers Local Union and a member of Earl H. Opel, Post 459, American Legion.
He is survived by one son, Robert K. Zimmerman, Salisbury; three grandchildren, Jameson Zimmerman & wife, Amanda, Shaun Zimmerman, Jordan McKee; two great-grandchildren, Liam & Lindyn.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Highway, Salisbury, on Friday, March 26, 2021, from 6-8 pm. Cremation will follow the visitation.
