Billy F. Morgan passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. He was 90 years old and a strong, generous, dedicated family man. He is survived by Mary, his devoted wife of 66 years; his five beloved children: David (wife Susan), Jean, Bill (wife Laura), Thomas (wife Enid), and Janice. He also leaves behind cherished grandchildren Briggette (husband Ashley), David Jr (wife Katie), Josh (wife Jennifer), William (wife Stephanie), Elizabeth, Kimberley, Justin (wife Laura) and 14 great grandchildren. Other family are his sisters Nell Clark and Jane Burcham (husband David).

Billy was born October 11, 1930 to parents William (Bill) and Alpha Morgan. He grew up in Kennard, Texas. He later moved to the Houston area where he met his future wife, Mary Pantel. In May of 1952, Billy was drafted by the U.S. Army. After joining, this small town, boy was sent to Korea where he received the "Korean Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars; a UN Service Medal; a National Defense Service Medal; and a Good Conduct Medal. Billy said being across the world in Korea as a small, town country boy was an eye-opening experience for him. He returned home and married Mary Pantel on May 22, 1954. Billy began working as a Magnetic Inspector at Cameron Iron Works in 1951 – returning to work there, after his military service. He was a well, respected professional at Cameron, retiring from that company after over 40 years. As much as he liked his job – he really loved retirement.
