North Haledon - POWELL, Frank Anthony, 18, of North Haledon, passed away tragically on Sunday, March 21, 2021. Frank was a graduate of Passaic County Technical School, and he had worked for FDR Hitch in Hawthorne before working with Guido & Sons Paving Contractors and becoming a mechanic and welder with Grand Motor Sales in Paterson. Everyone he worked for was family to him. He loved working with his hands, especially on trucks. Frank was also a proud member of the North Haledon Fire Department #2. Frank was loved by all who knew him and would always be willing to help anyone in need. He was one of the founders of "Liam's Warriors", a cause close to his heart, supporting a loved one's young nephew fighting cancer. Frank had a heart of gold and lived his life to the fullest.

Frank is survived by his loving parents, Gary and Jerka "Jeri" (nee Perkovic) Powell. He is also survived by their adored family companion, their dog Gunner.

Friends may visit the Powell family on Friday, March 26, from 4-8 PM at the

Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes. Funeral service will be Saturday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the North Haledon Fire House Co. #2, 568 High Mountain Road, North Haledon, NJ. 07508, Rockaway Animal Hospital, 328 US-46, Rockaway, NJ. 07866, or Liam's Warriors, 155 East Main Street, 2nd Floor, Little Falls, NJ 07424.
