Patty's nick name, "Pretty Flower", perfectly exemplifies her beauty and sweet spirit. In 1951 she was crowned Monroe (OH) High School's first homecoming queen. While in Ohio Patty was a member of Middletown United Methodist church and Rocky River United Methodist Church. Patty was active in charity work and was a member of the Junior Women's Club Rocky River and on the Women's Board at Brookstone Country Club in Acworth, GA. Her interests were numerous, specifically golf, both playing and watching it. She loved the Master's and volunteered at Atlanta Golf Classic for several years. She also enjoyed sewing, Braves baseball, and puttering in her garden, receiving "Yard of the Month" on several occasions. But her real passion was family and friends. Spending time with her beloved husband, visits with her children and watching her 8 grandchildren in a variety of sports, dance and musical events was most precious to her. Her wonderful, faithful friends were a highlight in life as well. Always adoring babies, the recent visit of her new great grandson resulted in a wonderful day full of smiles and much joy. Our many memories and immense love for "Pretty Flower" will be forever cherished. We are thankful for her sweet life and rest knowing she is safe and at peace in the arms of the Father.
